The Summer Research Opportunities Program is a gateway to graduate education at Big Ten Academic Alliance universities. Michigan State University provides undergraduate students from across the United States or U.S. territory with an 11-week summer research collective to advance their future studies in STEM and Social Sciences disciplines. While the program provides many benefits, the main goal is to increase the number of underrepresented students who pursue graduate study and research careers.
