Two fisheries and wildlife undergraduate students from Michigan State University designed and built a box that allows bird banding to be performed safely during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The CUR Executive Board announced the appointment of Patricia “Pam” Ann Mabrouk, professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Northeastern University in Boston, as the next editor-in-chief of Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research (SPUR), the academic journal of the organization.

The division’s mentor awards recognize exemplary biology mentors for their long-term efforts in supervising undergraduate researchers, and its grants seek to nurture mentored undergraduate research projects that could benefit substantially from a small grant.
