This institute will bring together faculty and administrators interested in preparing proposals for submission to external funding agencies. The multi-day institute will consist of one-on-one work with a mentor, writing, small-group discussions, and critiquing of proposals. The institute has been developed to assist novice to experienced proposal writers in drafting complete proposals for submission.
CUR invites applications for the annual CUR Campus-Wide Award for Undergraduate Research Accomplishments (AURA). This award recognizes higher education institutions that have successfully implemented the characteristics of excellence, have devised exemplary programs to provide high-quality research experiences to undergraduates, and have evaluated the success of these programs.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. The STR Program is a valuable resource for teaching your undergraduate research students communication tools for translating research into understandable language while also communicating the impact, potential impact, and opportunities this research can have. Participants will serve as CUR Advocacy Ambassadors and learn how to advocate for the impact of research with media contacts, community members, funding agencies, and governmental representatives.
The CUR Engineering Division invites the undergraduate research community to attend and draw on the expertise from four of the CUR Engineering Division Leadership and Mentorship award winners: Beena Ajmera (2022), Heather Dillon (2024), Ala Qattawi (2024), and Rana Zakerzadeh (2023). Each awardee will present for a few minutes on their approach to undergraduate research, followed by a Q&A panel discussion.

The Biology Division of CUR is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting original biological research results at discipline-specific regional or national meetings, or a meeting focused on underrepresented populations such as SACNAS, ABRCMS, or AISES in Fall 2024.
